The Hikurangi Hall is located in the heart of Hikurangi and is utilized by various community members. The building itself is owned by the Whangarei District Council, however Hikurangi Friendship House Charitable Trust manages the building and their office can be found inside the entrance to the hall.
The hall is available for hire to the community (bookings essential), as described below:
-Regular recurring users: $15 for up to 3 hours and $10 per hour after that;
-One off users (less than 3 times per year): $15 for first hour and $10 per hour after that;
-Birthday parties: $60 for 9am to 4pm, Bond is $200 for alcohol free, $300 for BYO, $500 for sale of liquor (with liquor licence);
-Evening hire: $120 for 6pm to 1am, Bond $200 alcohol free, $300 for BYO, $500 for sale of liquor (with liquor licence);
-Day hire: $180 for 9am to 1am, Bond $200 alcohol free, $300 for BYO, $500 for sale of liquor (with liquor licence;
-Opening fee: $10 for decorating the day before, if available.
-Village Church: $20 (maximum of 3 hours)
-Youth Groups: $15 (maximum of 3 hours) $10 per hour after that, bond $200.
The hall is also used by various sports clubs to hold their trainings/games/tournaments:
-Badminton: Wednesdays, 9am to midday
-Tai Chi: Wednesdays, 1.30pm to 2.30pm
