This year we have invited other districts to join in our festivities and out streets will be lined with food and craft stalls from 9am. We will have children's entertainment set up in the park next to the hall, and we will have a stage set up in the pub carpark for performances to take place. We have three categories of entertainment for the stage with prizes for first and second place for each category. Our categories are:
- kapa haka
-individuals
-groups
Of course we also have our usual parade that will roll down the main road from Hikurangi School, turn in Alfred Street, and come back up the road again to end at the school. We have 3 categories for the parade this year, all with cash 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes! The categories are:
-floats
