Long term projects

Below are the latest updates of  some long term projects that community groups and I have been working towards. 

🟢 A commitment from Council through the Long Term Plan to replace the footpaths on King St in the main business strip. When this will happen, exactly where, and what they will be made from is not yet determined. 

🟠 The council also committed seed funding to the Sports Hub including a new playground and skate park on the sports grounds. 

🟣 A confirmation of our funding request to engage Conservation Architects to do the plan for restoring the Library building and old BNZ building to their heritage nature has been approved. 

These are all major projects for Hikurangi that will start developing within the next couple of years.
